Hispanic Heritage Night

Hispanic Heritage Night

Our annual Hispanic Heritage Month Night took place on October 9th, and it was a wonderful success! We were thrilled to see so many families and community members come together to celebrate this special evening. The event was filled with vibrant displays of culture, lively music, energetic dance performances, and delicious food representing Hispanic Countries.

In addition to the performances and food, we were delighted to have our librarian share a story that highlighted Hispanic culture and heritage. Students also had the opportunity to learn about Dia de Muertos and then create their own papel picado, a traditional Mexican craft that added color and creativity to the evening.

Many of our classrooms participated in a door decoration contest, showcasing different Hispanic countries and their unique cultures. Families who attended the event had the chance to vote for their favorite design, adding a fun and interactive element to the night. Congratulations to Room 214, Mrs. Poland's class, for winning this year’s contest!

Guests enjoyed learning more about the rich diversity within our community while connecting with one another through shared experiences and joyful celebration. It was truly a night to remember—thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a meaningful celebration of culture, heritage, and unity!
